Dishaa Kappur, Group Director, HR, FIVE Hotels and Resorts

Dishaa’s specialties include a dexterous expertise in Talent Management, Orientation and On boarding, Compensation and Benefits, Exit Process Streamlining, Performance Management, improvising Internal Controls, Training and Business Excellence, and serving as a business partner to stakeholders.

As a dynamic leader, Dishaa empowers her team of 22, to lead vital projects, deal directly with their peers across departments to ideate on tactical HR Solutions, to contribute concepts, notions and designs to improve the emotional and physical comfort of the FIVE Tribe and to work in a synergistic fashion alongside one another towards a common goal; creating a flourishing Vibe at FIVE behind the scenes!

Her focus on the FIVE Family is made clear by FIVE being recognized as the Best Hotel Group, a Top 10 Workplace for Women and ranked No 7 for Millennials across all categories in the Middle East by Great Places To Work in 2021 – a global authority on workplace cultures. More recently, FIVE Hotels and Resorts ranked 6th amongst Best Workplaces in the UAE in the 2022 guide and 20th amongst the Best Workplaces for Millennials in GCC. More recently, FIVE was recognised as a large sized company by Great Places to Work at a rank of #6 for the Happiest Employees in the region. FIVE has also recently been shortlisted as one of the best large size companies in Asia by Great Places to Work in 2022 (rankings yet to be announced).

Her role has been monumental in building the strong and united FIVE Tribe and bringing it to the point it is today. From the successful manning for the opening of FIVE Jumeirah Village, Dubai that spanned 280 personnel when it opened, to 450 colleagues today, to the development of an overseas pool of manpower for FIVE Zurich, which opened on 30th June 2022 (spanning over 220 talents and 50+ nationalities) and bringing FIVE Palm Jumeirah’s head count to over 1000. She flawlessly supports the contentment and wellbeing of the 1670 (and counting) FIVE Tribe members. 

An avid supporter of social and environmental causes, she passionately leads FIVE’s CSR initiatives like a beach clean-up executed in March 2022 and a blood donation drive that saw 38 FIVE Tribe members donate 30.6 litres of blood. 

Thanks to keen sourcing of the right FIVE Talent, guest experiences at FIVE have been exceptional – resulting in FIVE Hotels and Resorts maintaining a very impressive occupancy rate for FIVE Palm Jumeirah at 93.40% while FIVE Jumeirah Village has sustained a remarkable 95% occupancy rate bringing the average occupancy between both the hotels to a staggering 94.20%.
